Here are some frequently asked questions about The Sports Forecaster, Online Editions.

  • Will there be a newstand edition?
  • This year, we're offering the Hockey Forecaster as an exclusive, free, online magazine only. We're currently still evaluating options for next year, and we'll let people know what we decide.

  • What's your privacy policy?
    You can read it here.

  • I only clicked once, but I get a Max Downloads Exceeded message
    Please make sure you have all download accelerators disabled. These work by grabbing the same file many times over, which counts against the download limit. As well, if you want to share the magazine with all your friends, give them the registration link, not the link you got in your email. That's your personal link, meant only for you.

  • I get an Unable to open document or Error in opening document message
    Please make sure you are using the latest version of Adobe Acrobat Reader. The Forecaster magazine requires Adobe Acrobat Reader version 6.0 or later. You can download it for free from http://www.adobe.com

    You can also try our alternate download site. (This uses a slighlty different method of sending the PDF file that seems to work better on certain computers. This also enables you to follow the download and save it directly.)

  • I submit my code, and nothing happens
    Because it is a fairly large file, readers with slower internet connections may have some trouble downloading it. In particular, it may take as long as 20 minutes for the file to download on these connections.

    If you're on a slower connection, try our alternate download site. You'll be able to track the download and save it to an appropriate spot.

  • I get an Unable to Parse Code message
  • Please make sure you are copying and pasting it correctly from the email we sent you. In particular, make sure there are no extra characters (e.g. a quoting '>') or extra line breaks in the code.

    Also recently, we had to change the way codes are generated, because we discovered certain mail programs were corrupting the code. Try re-registering and grabbing a new code, and see if that helps.
